Michal Goldring Keidar, LICSW, is a therapist and a social worker. She provides evidence-based therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups for over a decade. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Tel Aviv University in Israel and her master’s degree from the University of Washington, School of Social Work. She has extensive experience as a therapist in outpatient mental health settings. Michal is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Levels I and II. She is a Gottman educator in the Bringing Baby Home (BBH) and The 7 Principles Program.
Michal incorporates feminist theory and social justice into her work and enters therapeutic relationships with cultural humility. She is working with all ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Michal is helping her clients by being a source of a support, insight and compassion in the areas of:
- Transition to parenthood
- Relationship enhancement
- Parenting children with special needs
- Trauma and recovery
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Mindfulness
- Emotion regulation and distress tolerance
Michal also offers the following groups:
- Bringing Baby Home for expecting and new parents
- The 7 Principles Program for relationship enhancement
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills
