Jessica Piziali, MA, LMHCA, is a licensed mental health counselor associate who received her BA in Psychology from Eugene Lang College at The New School in New York City and her MA in Counseling Psychology from Adler University in Chicago. She has experience in a myriad of clinical settings, including community mental health, college counseling, crisis work, outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, as well as private practice.
Jessica’s specialties include:
- Life Transitions and adjustment concerns (including but not limited to: adjusting to university life, a new job/career or moving to a new location, changes in relationships, retirement, etc.)
- Anxiety-related concerns
- Depression
- Stress Management
- 2SLGBTQIA+ related issues
- Comorbidity (where more than one issue may intersect)
When asked what potential clients should expect with her, Jessica responded as follows: “My goal is to first create a virtual space where clients get a sense of acceptance, non-judgment, and loads of compassion and empathy. I love helping clients feel empowered to make the changes they need to thrive while feeling supported and cared for along the way. This is a space for understanding, growth, and empowerment. I’m grateful to be able to walk alongside you”.
Jessica mainly draws from a mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy framework, which she was drawn to due to learning firsthand the benefits of mindfulness as a child while living overseas in Japan, a skill she has continued to hone. She works from a trauma-informed lens and uses a client-centered approach. When relevant to the client’s needs, she will also draw on motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy.
Jessica offers a free 15 minute consultation to potential clients and can be reached by email at jessica.piziali@seattlepsychology.com or by phone at 206-400-7517.
