Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Aimee Horn, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with teens and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression and executive function deficits. Aimee has additional expertise providing educational consulting and advocacy for families and students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Accommodations, as well as providing guidance on school choices using thoughtful consideration of their learning needs and preferences. Aimee is a relaxed and genuine clinician who strives to foster a compassionate and empathic relationship and therapeutic environment so clients feel heard, understood and safe.
Aimee earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Indiana University and her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked in the fields of education and mental health in various capacities for over 20 years. Aimee utilizes a whole person solution-focused approach to her counseling sessions. Furthermore, Aimee incorporates mindfulness based stress reduction techniques, CBT, emotion focused work, as well as strength based approaches to her work with clients. Aimee’s experience includes working with individuals in clinical settings as well as advocacy work for families and students in schools.
